Coaching is a development process tailored to your needs and goals and carried out with a trusted partner. Based on a relationship of genuine trust, respect, non-judgement and confidentiality, your coach will work with you to help you achieve your goals, work through your challenges and become the best you can be.
The scope of the coaching is determined by you and, with appropriate support and challenge from your coach, can encompass the areas outlined in our model below:
As an executive you are likely to face significant challenges on a daily basis. Whether new to this level, or more experienced, your survival and success, and that of your business, is dependent on you successfully overcoming them. You may find yourself loosing perspective, having no one to bounce things off in a confidential/trustful way or simply needing to ‘up your game’ in specific areas.
You need someone with you who is completely focused on your agenda, whom you can completely trust - but not a ‘yes man/woman’ – a person who will provide you with the level of support and challenge you need to be the best you can be.
Your own executive coach is the ideal partner to have by your side in these circumstances.
As a manager, at any level, you are responsible for the performance of the people who report to you or are in your area/department. You know that leadership is critical to getting the best from your people. Indeed, you may already have attended some training in this context.
However, you may be finding that it is not as simple as it sounds – you may be challenged by the behaviour and attitudes of your people, by the company culture you are in, by your boss’s view of how it should be, by your own underlying beliefs or mindset, etc.

The current situation you are in is challenging you in ways you didn’t quite expect and you are not as sure footed or as effective as you normally are. You are not quite sure what’s getting in the way – is it something in the environment you are in; some competency or skill you are missing; something about your inner self?
You want someone to help you get some perspective, to tap into the resources you possess, to help you ’see the wood through the trees’ – to regain and develop a high level of personal effectiveness.

You may be the leader or part of a group of people who work together normally, or on a project basis. It’s working pretty well but you feel it’s not the team it can be or you want it to be. You have tried to move it on but something is missing – in how people work together, the sense of common purpose, the commitment and drive to achieve, that glue that binds good teams, etc...
You want the benefit of another perspective to facilitate you and the team in getting it sorted. Call in your team coach to help you and your team reach the heights you are all capable of.
While most performance issues are appropriately dealt with within your organisation by the relevant manager, supported by HR where necessary, it is a reality that external coaching support is often sought. This can arise where, for example, the causes are deep rooted, where the skills required to deal with them are not within the organisation or where an independent more confidential relationship is necessary.
In this situation you need a coach who will work with HR, the manager and the person/s involved in an empathic and professional way to ensure all the relevant issues are identified and addressed. Comments such as ‘you shouldn’t’ do this or ‘you should do that’ are not helpful at this stage, and you won't get them from us.
